The sex of Serena Williams’ baby has been revealed and it’s going to be a girl for the tennis champion and her Reddit co-founder fiance. Serena’s sister, Venus, made this known at the French Open today.

Venus made this confirmation during a post-match interview with Eurosport. She referred to the baby as “she” and said that she hopes to be the baby’s favorite aunt.

She added: “We all want it to be called baby V, baby Lyn, baby Esher, we all want the baby to be named after us”.

This will be the first time the sex of the baby will be revealed. Serena had been asked earlier, at the Met Gala, about the baby’s gender but she gave a vague answer and said:

“We’re waiting. (It’s) a surprise. We call it “baby'”

Though Serena did not play at the French Open, she was present to cheer her sister on and she tried to cover her baby bump in a sporty white vest top, worn underneath a camouflage jacket.

Arsene Wenger sets to bring Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru for a reported £6.8 million from Belgian top division club KAS Eupen.

Onyekuru, 19, finished the 2016/17 season as the top scorer in Belgium’s Jupiler Liga prompting the Gunners to trigger the £6.8 million release clause in his contract. He reportedly turned down moves from Belgian giants Brugge and Anderlecht, according to Sky Sports.

The pacy attacker, a long-time Gunners fan, bagged an impressive 25 goals and provided 14 assists for Eupen this season to inevitably bring down the curtain on his time in the European lower leagues.

He made his debut for Eupen in 2015 as a 17-year-old and helped the club achieve promotion to the Belgian top flight in his debut season.

The move by Wenger, heavily criticized after a disappointing campaign that saw the Gunners finish fifth, may not go down well with large sections of the Emirates who have been yearning for marquee signings, but it follows in the tradition of Arsenal legends down the years.

This fact isn’t lost on the legendary Ian Wright who has taken to Twitter to welcome the Nigerian hotshot to the north London club, beckoning him to “shut…up” his critics.

After spending time honeymooning in French Polynesia, Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have taken the second leg of their honeymoon to Sydney, Australia.

The newlyweds were seen  boarding a water taxi on Sydney Harbour before jetting off via seaplane to Cottage Point Inn, an exclusive riverside restaurant on the Hawkesbury River in Sydney’s north.

There, they sat down for a relaxed three-hour lunch with their pals and later took the 20-minute flight back to Rose Bay.

In the photographs, Pippa, 33, looked elegant in a chic black blazer, a stunning Kate Spade dress and black espadrilles. Her 41-year-old husband wore a smart blue jumper, a pink shirt, simple black shoes and casual blue jeans.

A man who met the newlyweds that morning told Daily Mail Australia that Pippa was “very happy and smiley” as she stepped on to the water taxi.

He said: “She and the husband waited back a bit, they let a couple they were with who had a baby get on the boat first, then they walked over separately. They seemed very happy… that’s my closest encounter with royalty.”

Pippa and James are believed to be staying at the luxury Park Hyatt hotel in Sydney. Their suite reportedly has a master bathroom that features a spa bath, sauna and steam room, while the living area is designed around a central gas fireplace. The suite boasts six separate private balconies, offering different views to the beautiful harbourfront.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pippa and James were also spotted jogging through Sydney’s historic Botanical Gardens. They seem to be having the dream honeymoon.

Many Nigerian kids can relate to having their parents try to get them to study or not study a course in university, and Ovation magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, certainly has his experience on that.

Momodu revealed during a recently held event how people thought he was a dullard because he chose to study Yoruba in University of Ife (now known as Obafemi Awolowo University).

‘When I said I wanted to study Yoruba, people complained,’ Momodu said. ‘Even my illiterate mother had to ask me that ‘Ayobamidele is this how dull you’re that you can’t get any other course?”

The veteran journalist added that he had to convince mum and told her Yoruba is like any other language – be it German or Portuguese.

Here’s what he said:

‘I was never a dullard, I studied Yoruba because I didn’t want to do what everyone was doing,’

‘What were fashionable and trending then were courses like Law, Accounting… A lesson, I want you to learn, don’t always go for the multitude.

‘I didn’t know that God was preparing for what I’m doing today. We were about 100 in my part 1 and only six of us graduated, others ran away.

‘But I went back to the University to prove that I wasn’t a dullard, that I could do something else, I then did a master in English literature and for 20 years, I didn’t see any Nigerian that combine such a satanic course because is from one history to another.’

He also urged the youth to always be prepared for opportunities, saying one must always have something to offer when opportunities come their way.

‘Nobody would help you when you have nothing to offer. Let me share you this story. When I was in exile, sent me by the then military ruler, Sani Abacha, I was in England and one day, I visited Senator Bode Olajumoke and he said to me, I like your magazine, just that we notice inconsistency.

‘Then I told him it’s about finances, that we have great contents but no finance to run. He then loaned me £10,000 in 1997, which as you know media is like casino I couldn’t repay after one year, because I was still growing Ovation.

‘Abacha died and I could come back to Nigeria and I went straight to Daddy Olajumoke and he said the money was a gift.

‘There are good people in Nigeria, but you have to take something to them, you’re been watched.’
