Award winning Nollywood actress, Ebube Nwagbo, who is getting ready to launch her new clothing line, has stated that she won’t rush into marriage just to please people, even though she wish to walk down the aisle soon.

The movie star who maintained that her upbringing and fear of God has helped her maintain a controversy-free life in an interview with Saturday Beats, added that venturing into business and reading several insightful books had not only helped her become a better woman but also a focused professional.

On managing marriage pressures, she said;

“The pressure of marriage comes but I am happy for the type of parents and family members I have. They all understand that marriage is not a decision I have to make in a hurry. I try to let everybody know that deciding who to marry has to be done right and at the appropriate time as well. I have learnt to deal with this pressure by not allowing whatever people say to bother me. As a person, I try to be the best that I can. I come from a very strict Christian background. My parents always tell me never to forget where I am coming from and I never forget that. The training they gave me has helped in shaping the woman I am today. Being a star comes with a lot of pains. There are people in the society who want to control your life and make you live in a certain way. But the truth is that you can’t please everyone. Sometimes you have to be yourself and this could be misunderstood. It’s a price we have to pay for being in the limelight.”

Veteran Nolllywood actor, Yemi Adeyemi popularly known as Suara  in a new interview has recounted how far he has come in the Nigerian movie industry and his relationship with his father.

The 70 year old screen star disclosed that his father opposed his acting career at first, but pulled back after he got his first car and apartment.

Here are excerpts from the interview with Suara below;

We learnt that some herbalists came to pray for you during the week. Don’t you think that it would contradict the fact that you are a Christian?

It would not contradict anything. There is a difference between religion and culture; in the same way, there is a difference between ambition and intention. I do not have problems but I have faced challenges in life.

What are some of the challenges you faced?

One of them is that I never had the intention of marrying more than one wife even though I have never kept more than one wife in my house. However, I have three women who have children for me.

When I was younger, an old CAC pastor who is from Ilesha, Osun State, told my father that I was going to marry more than one wife and I would be a ladies’ man. I did not want to have more than one woman in my life; neither did I capitalise on what the pastor said but every other thing the man said came to pass. When things were very tough for me, there was a pastor I went to meet and he told me that the answer to my problem was in the roof of my father’s house. I went there and saw my father’s oracle and it had been there for decades.

How come you fell in love with acting when you were as young as six years old at a time when there were barely television sets in Nigeria and only travelling theatre groups entertained the public?

My father wanted me to be a policeman because of their daily routine but I loved drumming. We used to have a teacher who taught us home lesson and the only reason I always attended the home lesson was because of entertainment. If we had a drama in December, we would have begun rehearsals since January. When I had my first stage performance, I did so well that people told me I was a genius on stage. They all appreciated me but my father was very angry with me. His maternal grandfather was the Aromolaran of Ilesha. My father vowed that none of his children would become a beggar as that was what he called entertainers. He knew that I loved drumming but he refused to allow me to follow my passion. The ironic thing is that he was the one that made me fall in love with drumming because every Sunday, drummers would come to our house to beat the drums for him and he would interpret what the talking drums said to me. Later, he said he did not want me to become a drummer.

Did he ever give you his blessings as regards your career?

Shortly after I finished from the University of Ile Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, and began to work at NTA, I was given a car. I went to my father’s house and he was the first person to enter my car. He asked where I got the vehicle from and I told him that it was from doing drama. I made him sit at the back of my car and he was almost prostrating to me, asking me to forgive him. I explained to him that it was a very lucrative career especially if one went to the university to study it. I made him realise that as I left the university, I was on level 8 step 2 and I was given a car. I took him to my apartment as well at GRA Agodi, Ibadan. When he saw the way the apartment was furnished, he was overwhelmed. He was very happy. When he saw my picture with Wole Soyinka, he shouted and asked me about my relationship with the professor, then I told him that Soyinka was our head of  department. He asked again if acting was very lucrative and I answered affirmatively.  From that day, he became my friend.  My father would come to pay me a visit on a Friday and would not leave my house until Sunday. All the other siblings were envious but I did not mind.

Although most of the beatings were scripted, my father was concerned for me after watching the play and he said that they could kill me. Leading Nigerian music act, Tiwa Savage in a recent interview has opened up on her hit collaboration with Duncan Mighty, ‘Lova Lova’ by referring to it as the biggest song of her career yet.

The singer who recently headlined her first sold-out UK concert at the Indigo at the O2 Arena, and is  gearing up to releasing her third studio album before the end of the year also talked about other issues in the interview. In her chat with Awazi of Soundcity FM, Tiwa talks about her music, collaborations, feminism and personal life.
Speaking on her latest single ‘Lova Lova’ with Duncan Mighty which is no doubt one of the biggest records of 2018, Tiwa talks about the process of recording the song.

”It was just one of those usual studio sessions, I worked with Ceeza and Spellz on it and instantly I knew it was a beautiful record…Actually we have had this record since January, it was right after I dropped Vibe and it seemed like the next song to drop.

Duncan Mighty and myself, we’ve spoken for a long time about working together and so he was in Lagos and I invited him out to the studio, played him a couple of records and that one in particular and he was like, I love this record, and literally in 10, 15 minutes, he wrote his verse.”

On ‘Lova Lova’ being the biggest song of her career

Responding to a message she shared on her Instagram page, which had the caption that ‘she had recorded the biggest song of her career’, Tiwa admits that is how she feels about ‘Lova Lova’.

”Definitely, it was Lova Lova,” She says, ”cos it just felt really really special, especially when Duncan did his verse, it just felt really good.”

She speaks on the international collaborations that she is working on

”I have a record with Chris Martin from Coldplay… I do have a record also with Kranium… I believe it is going to be on his album which is coming out in October.”

On her relationship with Yemi Alade

Earlier in June, Tiwa Savage’s name was mentioned in a conversation between On Air Personality, Misi Molu and singer Yemi Alade, which generated controversy on social media, but Tiwa says all is well between her and fellow singer, Yemi.

”There is no bad vibe actually, every time we see each other, it’s just the mutual respect that we have for each other. Definitely, I am here for a reason, I think I have worked hard enough… I take every criticism the right way… I definitely don’t think she [Misi] meant it a bad way,” she concluded.

The General Overseer of Christ Holy Mountain House or Prayer for All People, Apostle Sediq Moses, has released some shocking prophecies, and a major highlight of his prophecy is the death of a young Nigerian musician who according to him, sold his life to the devil.

Here are some of the prophecies below;

‘The Almighty God, whom I serve without any deceit, gave me new prophecies, precisely on Sunday, August 19, 2018, during our periodical ‘Resurrection Service.’ In the encounter with God, I saw a gathering cloud of an impending rain around a sea, full of water, and God distribute certain things of consequential magnitude. God said Nigerians and indeed the church of God should pray and fast for seven (7) days, and the rainfall will be a blessing and not a disaster. In our church, the seven-day fasting, actually commenced on Tuesday, August 21 by our church members.

The past Thursday, God gave me a word of prophecy, and i had given out through the Facebook, and as He was showing me, I saw a sea of trickling water out, and I was told that anybody living near the sea should start running, because I saw that if they refused to yield to this warning, they will not survive the accompanying flood disaster. Meanwhile, with the unprecedented way my prophecies have been coming to pass, if I tell you that Buhari will win in 2019, you should not doubt it; but the fact remains that I have never prayed that Buhari should win, except, may be, he comes and meet me to pray for him.

Mind you, I am not saying this to curry his favour. I was standing somewhere yesterday when I saw an angel bring Senate President, Bukola Saraki to me, and the angel said I should ask him pertinent questions, and I said what question; and he said I should ask him, is he a president? He said, Yes he is a senate president. The angel said I should ask him again. Is the word president equal to another president, and he said, yes he is a president, and the angel said to me that he is going to ask Nigerians questions: how many vice-presidents does the president have? What is the meaning of vice president? It means assistance and he works with the president in advisory capacity; which means the president has not much power of his own, based on the argument and hypothesis on ground. He thus in essence must take advice from his vice. In the same vein, the Senate President is not as good as the President of Nigeria. He should stop saying Buhari is his problem. He has so many enemies in Nigeria.

We have so many leaders who are not friends of APC, but because the APC never had spiritual eyes, they keep on hiring on these enemies in borrowed friends’ robes to work under them. Today, these deceivers have gathered themselves in opposition once again and they want the APC to go down. All this is happening because the APC has been blind and unreceptive to reasons and the flagrantly employed them in their fold. Now they have unleashed their terror and left APC for PDP. They are all coming out to contest because they thought they have had enough of their idiosyncracies. They believe if they go to the other side, they can fight and win, but their fight will not be strong enough to upstage the incumbent, and this will not save them of their chicanery and shenanigans. The weapon they are gathering is no their weapon, and if they use it to fight, it will go back to the original owner ab initio.

Before former President Goodluck Jonathan lost the election in 2015, I told the media that he should stop going to the North and giving them money, because that money he was giving them will only help APC to grow beyond bounds, which eventually happened. I was here until they started beating and harassing pastors, but he refused to listen to us; simply because we are not popular. Now the APC should be careful, because it has fed its enemies before and shouldn’t feed them again as they are not the kind of enemies that will ever be at peace with them. We should also pray for Saraki. I am passionately appealing to him through this medium not to contest for the Presidency of this country.

The only person I can see from my crystal ball standing out with a chance in the PDP, is Atiku Abubakar, and not even Rabiu Kwakwanso. And even if they all contest, they are only coming out and warming up for the nearest future, because APC will still rule this country in the next dispensation. They don’t own Nigeria, God owns Nigeria. As an addendum, my veritable flood prophecies have started coming to pass all over the world, in London, in India, Italy and other countries.’

Ace tennis star,  Serena Williams Will Not be celebrating her daughter’s one-year-old birthday – because she is a Jehovah’s Witness.

The mother of one who is in the habit of posting  photos to social media of her family life won’t be posting any party pictures from Alexis Olympia’s special day.

She disclosed this during a press conference at the US Open when she was asked how she plans to celebrate her daughter’s special day.

She replied:

“Olympia doesn’t celebrate birthdays. We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, so we don’t do that.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter, and do not celebrate birthdays either. They believe that these ‘festivals’ have pagan origins.

International rap artiste, Eminem has set the Internet ablaze the surprise release of a new album titled ‘Kamikaze’.

Produced by Eminem himself and his long-time collaborator Dr. Dre, Kamikaze immediately began trending on social media worldwide.

The 13 track album features collaborations from Joyner Lucas, Royce Da 5’9, and Jessie Reyez with production credits from Eminem’s longtime collaborator, Dr Dre and his alter ego, Slim Shady.

“Kamikaze” is the rapper’s 10th studio album, with a number of songs touching on the criticism he got from his last album “Revival” released last year. The album includes a song titled Venom, which is from the upcoming superhero movie starring Tom Hardy

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Ifu Ennada has revealed she almost dated a guy some few months ago, but his low self-esteem was incurable hence the collapse of the relationship.

Ifu Ennada made the revelation during a chat with PULSE where she got to talk about what she has been up to. When asked about her relationship status, the beautiful actress revealed that she was not only single but ready to mingle.

“I am not dating anyone but I want a boyfriend. Honestly, the truth is that I want to date not because of the money but because I can take care of myself. I want to date because I need a companion. Sometimes I come back from work and meetings or sometimes it could just be some mental and physical work I’m doing in my house and I could just need some hug,” she said.

She went on to share her experience with a guy she thinks had low self-esteem and so couldn’t handle a relationship.

“I almost dated some guy some months ago but his low self-esteem was beyond incurable. If I tell you how much I gave this guy, you know and it was free money. Because you are going through stuff, borrowed money from someone and I am helping you out and all of that now transform to low self-esteem and I get all of that…it was just really really sad because I felt like it was something that was gonna work, I liked the age, I loved the character but what I didn’t like was that there was that low self-esteem and honesty I can’t deal with that,” she concluded.

Nigerian music act, Kizz Daniel has announced that he will be working with international artists Major Lazer and Kranium on a new single ahead of the release of his upcoming second album, ”No Bad Songz.”

The award winning singer revealed the collaboration through a post shared on his Instastory, where he hinted that he was part of a song by Major Lazer, popular music trio that consists of producer Diplo, and disc jockey’s Jillionaire and Walshy Fire alongside Jamaican dancehall act, Kranium.

There are indications that the song will be released in September, just ahead of his sophomore album, ”No Bad Songz.’

The song is co-produced by Nigerian beatmaker, Jay Phizzle, who is responsible for his hit single, Wait.
