Here Is How Live Facebook Broadcast Cost These Two Nurses Their Jobs
Two Ghanaian nurses identified only as Tracy Ewurama Marcel and Ramatu have lost their jobs for ignoring patients to go live on Facebook while at work.
The viral video of nurses on Facebook live was shared by Ghanaian news publication, Adom FM, on their Facebook page.
Reacting to the viral video, the management of the Royal MMR Hospital, where the two nurses worked, said they were shocked and appalled by the fact the two nurses “choose to do Facebook Live while at work and responded to comments at the expense of patients waiting to seek health care”
A doctor with the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor, however, confirmed to Adom News that the two had been fired by the management of the hospital as their conduct was in breach of company regulations.
Trudy and Ramatu were reportedly employed as health assistants at the health facility and had no knowledge that their conduct was against hospital rules.

EFCC’s Former Twitter Handler Left The Commission For This Reason
EFCC released a statement on Facebook page this afternoon revealing why their former Twitter handler, Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi, left because he had to go and pursue his personal dreams.

Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi worked in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Commission since November 2014, where he exhibited his talent as a consummate professional.
Before moving on, he managed the twitter handle of the Commission; @officialEFCC amongst other assignments.
Adeyemi harboured personal dreams even before assuming duties at the Commission and he has now decided to fulfill those dreams.
Like a parent that finds joy in seeing a child grow, we are happy for Adeyemi because the Eagle must be allowed to soar.

This Is Why Angelina Jolie Is Angry At Vanity Fair Magazine
Angelina Jolie was highly criticised online after Vanity Fair wrote an article revealing the casting process for her new film, “First They Killed My Father.”
The Vanity Fair cover story stated that Jolie and her casting directors played a game with the poor children in Cambodia while searching for an actor for their upcoming film. They said the directors would place money in front of the children from “orphanages, circuses, and slum schools.” They would then ask the children what they needed the money for, and take the money away to provoke a reaction.
A lot of people felt the method used was not acceptable and the internet attacked Jolie for her poor decision in methods. Angelina Jolie has now spoken out against the Vanity Fair article, saying it is “false and upsetting”.
Jolie released a statement on Saturday addressing the cover story. She said the audition game was taken out of context.
“Every measure was taken to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the children,” Jolie told The Huffington Post. “Parents, guardians, partner NGOs whose job it is to care for children, and medical doctors were always on hand…to make sure no one was in any way hurt by participating in the recreation of such a painful part of their country’s history.”
She went on to clarify that the “pretend exercise” was “from an actual scene in the film” and was not “a real scenario” as it had been portrayed in the article.
“I am upset that a pretend exercise in an improvisation, from an actual scene in the film, has been written about as if it was a real scenario. The suggestion that real money was taken from a child during an audition is false and upsetting. I would be outraged myself if this had happened. The point of this film is to bring attention to the horrors children face in war, and to help fight to protect them.”

Military Man Gives His Cancer-stricken Dog A Hero’s Farewell And It’s Heart Breaking
A cancer-stricken dog who served three tours in Afghanistan with the US Marines has been given a tearful final goodbye in Michigan before being euthanized. .
Cena, a 10-year-old black lab, received a hero’s farewell on Wednesday just days after his owner Lance Cpl. Jeff DeYoung completed a bucket list for the dying pooch.
Cena, who was diagnosed with bone cancer two weeks ago, was a bomb-sniffer for the Marines until his retirement in 2014. DeYoung, 27, was paired with the dog in 2009 and 2010 while on a combat tour in Afghanistan. .
Following their retirement in 2014, DeYoung adopted Cena so he could become his service dog to help with his post-traumatic stress disorder. ‘My whole adult life I’ve had Cena,’ DeYoung said.
‘When I was 19 overseas learning how to be responsible, I had Cena. And now I’m 27 and I’m having to say goodbye to one of the biggest pieces of my life.’
DeYoung said he has carried Cena across rivers and thrown his body over him while under heavy fire from the Taliban. He said Cena kept his body warm during cold desert nights and comforted him when he lost seven friends in three weeks.

Actress, Shirley Emma Is Grateful To God For Giving Her A Second Chance At Life
Beautiful Ghanaian actress, Shirley Emma Fatima Tibilla , has taken to Instagram to share a testimony of how she was saved from an ailment that made her become a ‘vegetable’.
According to her, the ailment left her bedridden for a month, as she couldn’t even eat, couldn’t talk, couldn’t even bath herself either.
“MY TESTIMONY
Dear July 2016. Yes July, That was last year. The month in which God spared me from an ailment that should have killed me and gave me a second chance to live. The devil almost succeeded in taking me out but “Mercy” said NO!!! The picture on the left doesn’t even do enough justice to how I looked. I was bed ridden for a month. Couldn’t eat, couldn’t talk, couldn’t even bath myself. I became a vegetable and I was uselessly helpless.My only option was to feed off Prayer and wait for God to do His thing. The wait was the hardest but today I celebrate God and I celebrate life!! My immune system was completely shut down n anything and everything attached me. Lord I felt every pain that could be felt in my body. One month felt like 10 years UNTIL GOD CAME THROUGH AND COMPLETELY HEALED ME. My recovery was faster than usual and didn’t make sense. That’s how I knew “THAT WAS YOU GOD”

Here’s What Happened To Christabel Ekeh After Her Nudes Went Viral
Ghbase.com is reporting that Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Christabel Ekeh is presently in Police custody over the nude photos of herself she released on social media.
According to the platform, the actress is being interrogated by the Ghana Police in a bid to tighten up indecent exposure laws in the country.

Comedienne and actress, Helen Paul visited Thailand some months back. She shares fond memories of her trip to the Asian country with Punch.
When did you visit Thailand and why were you in the country?
I visited Thailand last year and I was in the country for a private event that I had been invited to, so I won’t really be able to disclose the details. Nonetheless, I had fun during my trip.
How long did you stay there?
I was there for three days and I made the most of my brief stay, even though I was basically preoccupied with work.
What were some of the things that struck you on arrival in Thailand?
One of the things that I found very fascinating was the airport; it’s very big and clean compared to what you would see in other places. The fact that Thais were also speaking their native language, which is also known as Thai was quite commendable too and it drove home the point that they are very in tune with their culture.

For the most part, I had to make do with Thai food during my stay-they had rice but it wasn’t anything compared to what we have back home in Nigeria. Similarly, their spaghetti was also slightly different from ours. I also ate a bit of chips and fish and drank tea too but sadly, there was no regular beverage and I really missed that.
When you introduced yourself as a Nigerian, what was the reaction of the people, did they take a second glance at you?
Not at all; from my own perspective, they saw me as friendly and quite playful because I went there to represent the country so I had to put my best foot forward at all times. They liked me anyway and that was really heart-warming.
In terms of comparison, how would you compare Thailand to Nigeria?
The fact that they appreciated their culture more clearly stood out for me. In Nigeria for instance, we are very welcoming as a people and sometimes, we want to speak like visitors almost immediately they come in contact with us in a bid to make them feel at home in our country. On the contrary, the people in Thailand are not like that; they are so in sync with their language and they kept more to themselves from my observations while Nigerians are more welcoming and receptive.
Do you recall how you spent your typical day, did you find time to visit some tourist locations?
I didn’t have time to do that because I went there strictly for work-related purposes so I couldn’t really unwind much but I would like to visit the country again at some point and this time around, I would definitely go there with my own food, if they will allow it at the airport.
You mentioned earlier that when next you visit Thailand, you would go there with your own food…
Yes, I’d like to go there on my next visit with my own food because I missed my garri and amala during my last trip. I spent only three days so there was really no time to explore that much in the food department.
