They left because Osahon who made it abroad, in less that 2 years, has gotten a job (albeit illegal) that allows him live well, while arranging his permanent stay. If he who does not have formal education, has become a nurse in 3yrs and he is earning more than a banker. Uche don marry one foreign passport. Bola who was a hair dresser here, now works in a hairsaloon and sends money home. Not to mention Monday, an ordinary boy at a car wash in Lugbe, Abuja, who made it across and now works at the back of a restaurant and lives better than he used to here in Nigeria. Much as we should discourage these Nigerians from travelling, if we want to be honest with ourselves, the lure is too tempting. Don’t forget that those who traveled will lie through their teeth to I justify why they left. Then you have the matter of prostitution and organised crime. The people who survive on these illicit businesses, will continue to require fresh hands. The 16 year old girl that was fetching the idiot 50 euros every other night, from wear and tear, may not provide the same amount of cash haul after a year. So, they will need new call girls. People are shouting slavery! Slavery!!. Is this new? Nooop. ONCE YOU FAIL TO EMPOWER YOUR POPULACE, THEY ARE BOUND TO USE THAT STATE OF IGNORANCE AND LACK OF EMPOWERMENT to survive anyhow they can. Illegal or otherwise. Ok so we bring them back from Libya. So What? We will manufacture jobs before the chartered flight lands? Ahead of rapper, Jay-Z’ 48th birthday on Saturday, his wife and singer, Beyonce have started celebrating him. On Monday, she hosted a private party for him which was attended by only 150 guests.

According to Page Six, Jay-Z’s birthday celebrations started early Monday night with an intimate dance party at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.

The bash, hosted by Beyoncé, was held in a private room overlooking Manhattan with rapper Fabolous, actor Omari Hardwick and Angie Martinez among the 150 guests.

A witness tells us there was no cake, but the room was awash with bottles of Jay’s “Ace of Spades” Champagne and specially crafted cocktails by libations lothario Albert Trummer.

Jay, who turns 48 on Dec. 4, and his guests partied until 4 a.m., getting down to rap, hip-hop and dance music.

He made his entrance around midnight straight from his “4:44” Tour concert at Barclays Center, where celebs spotted in the D’Ussé VIP area included Victor Cruz, Maxwell, CC Sabathia and Nick Lachey. Spike Lee was spotted with Fabolous, while Mack Wilds and comedian Jerrod Carmichael congratulated Lee on his Netflix series “She’s Gotta Have It.”

Celebrity groom and singer, Banky W, took to his IG page to congratulate his fellow singer, Davido on his win as ‘Best African act’ at the Mobo Awards.

In the same post, he took out time to address the issue of rivalry between Davido and Wizkid, stating that there isn’t any need for such childish behavior as there is enough room in the sky for all of our stars to fly.

He also begged Nigerians to stop colliding Wizkid and Davido as the only thing better than one Superstar is Two.

He wrote;

While we are at it, Bigups to another young legend @davidoofficialon his wins.. this talented lad came into the game, never stopped working and never stopped winning. And I’m so proud of him as well.
What’s better than one Superstar? Two.
Wiz and David are both extremely important to the Naija/African music movement and culture, and I personally HATE it when ppl try to make it seem like you have to choose one or the other. There’s enough room in the sky for all of our stars to fly, so instead of us encouraging a childish, petty narrative that never ends well (remember Pac/Biggie?), we shld encourage all of our acts to be all they can be. I don’t wanna choose. Why should I have to?

Nigerian rapper M.I and his music Imprint are going into a legal war with American hip-hop artiste NAS for a breach of contract. M.I has now confirmed this and described the situation as “unfortunate.”

M.I told Entertainment News on Channels TV that Chocolate City Music paid NAS a huge sum for a verse that was never received. The No. 1 African rapper said he has no idea how the information that he’s suing NAS got out there because it was never his intention, but he admits it is true that NAS failed to deliver on his part of the bargain and he’s being sued.

“We paid a good amount of money to get a verse. In technical terms, we send us an MP3 that merged verse and the beat. So what we’ll need is to get a verse that is called a Stem file, so we can use it and we never got that. And we’ve tried and tried and tried to reach out to them, so let the laws handle their thing,” M.I said.

“NAS is one of the greatest of all time. It’s sort of unfortunate but it is what it is,” M.I added.

Jay Z dropped hints on 4:44 that he had cheated on his wife Beyonce, but the Grammy winner has never come out and said outright that he stepped out on her.

That changed on Wednesday when the hip hop legend, 47, sat down with Dean Baquet from The New York Times for a very revealing chat.

The New York-born entrepreneur not only admitted that he been unfaithful to his wife of nine years, but the Young Forever singer also said that therapy kept them from getting divorced.

He also touched on his difficult friendship with Kanye West, but went out of his way to insist he will always love Kim Kardashian’s husband and that they will laugh at these spats when they’re 89.

Jay Z started talking about the infidelity when he addressed the scars he still has from his past. Those scars led to him push away his wife, 36.

He said:

“You have to survive.
So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions. So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect.
In my case, like, it’s deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity,’ he said.

Jay also took the time to talk about those scars and how he has faced them with the help of therapy.

“I grew so much from the experience,’ he said. ‘But I think the most important thing I got is that everything is connected. Every emotion is connected and it comes from somewhere. And just being aware of it. Being aware of it in everyday life puts you at such a … you’re at such an advantage.
You know, you realize that if someone’s racist toward you, it ain’t about you. ‘It’s about their upbringing and what happened to them, and how that led them to this point. You know, most bullies bully. It just happens. “Oh, you got bullied as a kid so you trying to bully me.” I understand.”

Actor Kunle Remi is not happy that he is been referred to as ‘Adesua’s ex’ and has taken to Instagram to shut down rumors.

Since Banky W and Adesua Etomi announced their engagement and also began their wedding proceedings, social media has been agog with reports that Kunle was once Adesua’s boyfriend.

In a post shared on his Instagram page early this morning, Kunle wondered where himself or Adesua ever confirmed to anyone that they were an item.

According to him, they only acted as a couple in a movie they starred in.

“MY NAME IS KUNLE REMI and Not ADESUA’s Ex.
Silence,they say is Golden.
I have been silent, but some people have taken this as an invitation to take the piss!! I have chosen my words and thought this action through, so read carefully, yes, pay attention I will only say this once.
I am not a bitter person neither am I a sadist.
‘If’ you know me, (if you don’t, ask about me from those that do) you would know I am a very positive and I radiate good vibes only, I am not here for any form of negativity whatsoever.
My name has been used inappropriately, and it is time I set the record straight.
I intentionally waited till after the festive of the beautiful wedding ceremony had come to a natural halt out of respect for the couple.
I have not till this present day said to any blogger, or mentioned on any social media platform, or granted any interview admitting or confirming that I was ever in a relationship with the former Miss Adesua Etomi who as well all know tied the knot over the past weekend, neither do I recall her doing the same.

Contrary to the opinion of people who feel theirs matters, I don’t have to congratulate the beautiful couple publicly to prove anything. Some of us would rather do our things privately. You CAN’T believe all you see on social media (some people will still not understand).
Take for example ; Recently I posted a picture of my Beautiful Nephew on my Instagram and as expected, rumors started again without any confirmation that I have a baby. (Quote me) I never confirmed to anyone that he is My Son. So there you go!!. Not all you see or read on social media is the gospel truth.
Having said that this is my advice to those this may concern; Just for your sanity try to be sure about the rumors and gist before you tongue lash people or judge people.
Sometimes Not every one is strong enough to handle it.
If you don’t know anything or if you are not sure, you don’t have to comment or curse people just SHUT UP. “If You don’t talk (in cases like this) you won’t die”.

Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has revealed why he ended his boxing career to become an actor.

In an interview with PUNCH, the Nollywood star disclosed he was once a boxer. He said he quit boxing when a Delta boy battered his face in a championship fight.

He said, ‘’I would have been a boxer. I used to be a boxer. I was doing well until I went for a championship in Delta State.

‘’The boy I fought with was an idiot; he gave me a beating I would never forget. That boy changed my face and made me hate anything that had to do with gloves.

After the fight, I looked in the mirror and I could not even recognise myself. I could see with only one eye for sometime due to the punches he dealt me. That was the incident that made me quit boxing.’’

Former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o, has denied the report that he paid for tickets for Cameroonian immigrants back to Libya.

The former Cameroon striker, while refuting the claims, said the ‘rumor is profoundly unfounded’

He wrote:

“Several sites have circulated a rumor that I would have given money to every migrant returnee, in relation to a topical issue. This rumor is absolutely unfounded!

“I would therefore take advantage of this opportunity, dear brothers and sisters, to emphasize that love prevents more evils than money can solve.

“So let’s not waste our precious time looking for thrills at the expense of grieving people, but let us use this time to prevent other brothers from being deprived of their dignity.

“Let us not just react when we can prevent, because among these victims are certainly people who have been our neighbours at some point, but to whom we have not daigné to look kindly.

“Let us build our Africa by having a positive impact on each other!

Rapper turned IT Consultant eLDee has decried what he has described as “other forms of slavery that exists on the continent and beyond.”

In light of the recent news about the auctioning of African migrants in Libya, eLDee has asked that while we continue to condemn that, we also look inside to inspect the way we enslave others.

He gave the example of “house-helps” from Togo and Benin, who work from dusk to dawn every day for their masters to get paid N10,000 a month.

He wrote on his Twitter page:

While we’re on the topic of slavery in Libya, I hope we also find time to reflect on the slavery & human trafficking in many of our African homes as well. Those “house-helps” from Benin/Togo whose masters get paid 10k every month to do chores from dusk till dawn.

I’m talking about the ones you kick and scream at all day to do your house chores, watch your kids, do your laundry, dishes, cook etc. The ones you pay less than $50 a month to the man/woman who brought him/her from Benin/Calabar/Akwa Ibom/Togo. Yes, that is also #Slavery.

Lets not only kick against slavery when it is convenient. If you really want to take a stand, Let go of the unfortunate teenager that is slaving away in your quarters right now. You are not very different from the Libyan who paid for slaves to do his chores.

We must take a stand against ALL forms of Slavery. It is not only slavery when it is against black people by other races, it is also slavery when it is black on black. Take a stand today, tell your friend, your family & your neighbors to let go of their slaves.

The fact that it is a part of our culture doesn’t mean we can not evolve. As we learn and become more aware, we must change our ways and replace our practices with more sensible and more humane ones. Free your slave(s) today!

I’ve had this argument with many who confuse slavery with employment. You can not employ a child for labor and pay the wages to his/her “master/parent/uncle”. That is #slavery and it is wrong.

There’s little difference in the sex worker that was trafficked to Europe and your house help that was trafficked from the village. So long as the trafficker is who gets paid for their work, they’re both working towards regaining their freedom, it is #slavery.

And please don’t get all defensive, we’ve all unwittingly either practiced or tolerated it at some point. I’m not just on a self righteous rant, we must recognize it for what it is. I’m glad we’re all upset about Libya as we should be. But there’s more to be upset about.

Prince Harry and Miss Meghan Markle have announced that they will marry at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018 – a month after Kate Middleton is due to have her third child.

A notice from Kensington Palace said the Queen has given permission for the wedding to take place at the chapel, where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles had part of their service when Charles remarried in 2005.

According to the Telegraph, It has been a traditional venue for royal weddings ever since the future King Edward VII married Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863, according to The Telegraph.

The chapel can accomodate 800 guests – a much smaller venue than the 2,000-guest strong Westminster Abbey, where Prince William married Kate Middleton.

The palace also confirmed that the Royal Family will pay for the wedding, including the church service, music, flowers, and reception!

Markle, who is American, will become a British citizen, according to the palace. The notice also said that she is a Protestant, and will be baptised and confirmed into the Church of England before the service.

Gbenga Adeyinka has apologised to Nigerians for posting a false claim that veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala was dead.

Recall that the Popular Nigerian comedian, earlier yesterday, shared a photo of the aged veteran comedian and wrote;

AN ICON IS GONE.. WE LOST HIM What a Great Loss !!! THE ACE COMEDIAN
MOST SENIOR APOSTLE . MOSES ADEJUMO Popularly Known As
BABA SALA Died 3 hours ago.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

He has issued an apology on his Instagram page where he had earlier made the untrue claim.

“Good evening please DISREGARD the news of Baba Sala’s demise. The source has since recanted. So sorry for the misinformation.

“Feeling very stupid that I just took his word for it. Sorry again,”

This is just after one of Baba Sala’s sons, Emanuel Adejumo, had dismissed the story as false.

He said “It is not true that Baba is dead. He is alive and he doesn’t even have a stroke.

“I don’t know where those peddling the death rumour got it from.”

Paul Okoye is sorry, and now he deeply regrets that he brought his family issues on social media, and is not askign his fans to forgive him.

Paul while in a chat with Olisa Adibua on BeatFM, was asked about his sad family drama with his brothers, Peter and Jude.

Recall, the brothers almost came to blows in their lawyer, Festus Keyamo’s office…. Paul said he wasn’t himself at that time, and now, he no longer wishes to stoke more flames.

Despite being persistently probed by the hosts of the show, Paul refused to be drawn into issues bordering on Psquare.

The interview also asked if he’d ever collaborate with his brother, Peter for PSquare again, and he simply said; “I don’t know”.

He however, apologized to his fans, saying, “My fans, take heart. As e dey break my heart, na so e dey break una heart.”

He continued, “I think I was very stupid, in that aspect. Something got into me. I couldn’t stand him. But what I did, I regretted it. Please forgive me for that and let me move on.”

Though he believes every family faces its own issues. “Everybody has problems in their families, everyone has issues,” he said.
