Taking to social media, Yvonne Okoro debunked the reports as fake news.

“I dont let things bother me..but this is nonsense..When and where did i say i have been dumped by several men because i made my relationships public??I respect what you do.We need each other,But with all due respect..STOP WITH THE FAKE NEWS!!!”, She wrote.

The dark-skinned beauty made this known on a TV show where she revealed the reason why she decided to keep her current relationship off public eye.

Yvonne Okoro also wondered why women are called different names when they engage in different relationships, but when a man does same, he is called a champion. To her, that is enough reason to keep her mouth shut concerning her relationship.

Yvonne Okoro stated this when she appeared on McBrown’s kitchen with Nana Ama McBrown.

“On the other hand, society does not see anything wrong with a man who has more relationships, they are viewed as champions while we (women) are called names so I am zipping my mouth now,” Yvonne said.

The Ghanaian Nollywood actor popularly known by Nigerians as ‘Ghanaian Aki’, Don Little, has told of how his parents tried to kill him when he was a child because they feared he would grow to be a dwarf and of no value to them.

The 20-year-old diminutive actor said in an interview on the Delay show that his parents noticed he wasn’t getting any bigger or taller so they concluded that they wouldn’t get much value out of him. He said they wanted to kill him by poisoning his food when he was about five years old.

He said his mother was reluctant and feared the outcome of murdering her son. But his father wasn’t bothered. Don says his father has slaughtered numerous domestic animals and sold them so he had no problem with killing his son.

Don Little also narrated how his father battered him and threw him out of the house at the age of 6 because he exposed his father for stealing bags of cement belonging to their benefactor.

The actor said he used to sleep outside people’s shops and followed friends to their homes from around age six to sixteen years.

When asked about his father, the actor said he has forgiven him but won’t grant his wish of building a relationship with him.

2Face Idibia alongside some other musicians has been commended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their roles in the upcoming general election.

According to the electoral commission, the upcoming elections will be for the youths who constitute 81 percent of registered voters.

The Commissions chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu said this during an election summit for youths in Abuja on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

During the summit, popular musicians were awarded for their role in the mobilization of youths to register for their Personal Voters Card which would allow them vote in the coming elections.

Among those honoured at the event was Innocent Idibia (Tuface) and Ambassador Ketil Karlson, Head of European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS.

Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz has revealed that he wants his wedding day declared public holiday in Tanzania.

This is coming as the music star’s wedding day to his Kenyan model girlfriend, Tanasha Donna Barbieri draws closer.

In a recent interview, Diamond Platnumz explained that he wants the government to consider his wish so that all his family members can attend the ceremony.

“The reason why we had to change the date is because Tanasha’s mother will be working on Valentine’s Day. I do not want a small wedding, if it is possible I would like the government to consider it a public holiday,” he said.

It would be recalled that in December last year, Diamond officially announced his intentions to marry his sweetheart on valentines day however, he extended the dates because some super star celebrities like Rick Ross could not make it and yet he wanted his party to be big.

Screen star, John Dumelo has spoken on his marriage to Gifty Mawunya Nkornu and has also opened up on the reports that his wife gave birth six months after they got married.

The Ghanaian actor and aspiring politician who was a guest on Yvonne Okoro’s cooking show ‘Dining with Cooks and Braggarts’ said his wife’s pregnancy just happened as it was something he didn’t plan.

John admitted on the show that, he was dating colleague actor, James Gardiner’s cousin, Frances before meeting his wife.

Speaking more on his relationship with Gifty Mawunya now Mrs Dumelo, he revealed that he knew her for a couple of years and they were just friends because Gifty was also dating somebody else by then.

 

The actor didn’t however, state if he broke up with Frances before starting any relationship with Gifty but he stated that “things just did not go on well”.

Also talking about his marriage which came as a surprise to dozens of his fans and with reports that he never informed his ex of his upcoming nuptials, John revealed that he actually informed Frances before tying the not.

“Well I did, I think it’s just the honourable thing to do, just to say this is what it is,” he told Yvonne Okoro and added that at the time of informing Frances about his marriage, they weren’t dating.

Funke Bucknor has revealed how a church service relieved her of the pain and sorrow she’s been nursing since the death of her sister OAP Tosyn Bucknor

According to Funke who stepped into Church for the first time since her sister’s death, the music from the choir was as if it was made for her.

Funke Bucknor shared on Instagram:

“You know how sometimes people say that a sermon or music was just for them when they went to church ?

That happened to me today with a song by our choir ( the sounds of heaven and the psalmist ) at @myjoshuaville
Ever since my sister died I hadn’t been able to go to church . Yes I attended meetings etc but I just couldn’t or didn’t see myself being in a service .
I was angry and hurt and just still couldn’t understand why she had to die or why this happened to my family . I generally don’t like dealing with emotions and I tend to just push them aside or away . I did this when my dad died as I didn’t cry till Tosyn’s death .
With Tosyn the emotions are totally different and I wanted to lash out at God. Infact I’ve had many conversations with Him on why He let it happen . Those answers haven’t come oh but the song about trusting Him in church today really helped and will help towards the healing process .
This is for anyone going through any form of grief ( you lost a friend , sibling , parent or child or relation). It’s ok to be angry
It’s ok to be hurt
It’s ok to be in denial
It’s ok to be upset
It’s ok to feel guilty
It’s ok to feel pain
It’s ok ……………..
But don’t stop trusting in God
But don’t stop talking about your pain
But don’t stop living ……………………..
We will get healing
We will still feel the pain but it gets numb with time
We will still talk about what we miss about them .
We will be ok ……..

Founder of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor has narrated an encounter she recently had with an old friend who tried to belittle her with really insensitive words and how she addressed it.

She wrote:

Betty, what happened to you?? I attended a Service of Songs this January and saw a lady friend.. well, not a friend like that but sha a friend. I hadn’t seen her for years. As I smiled towards her amidst selfies and pecks with other friends, she gasped loud; “Ah! Betty, what happened to you?” For a minute I thought I had a wardrobe malfunction or something worse, like poo all over me!! “What happened to you?” She exclaimed again. Now, there were abt 20 of us right there paying our condolences to our bereaved friend after the service.
As I wondered what she meant, like how, where, what or when? She exclaimed “Ah, you have gone much darker, are u ok? U used to be lighter!” She looked really pained!
I have? Was the only Come Back I could find at that moment, although I had some pretty petty acidic stuff I could have hauled back at her right there! But I don’t do dirt. I am still learning. Instead, I smiled and just walked away thanking God for how far I have come from the days of depression when such nastiness could have sent me back into my insecurity. Those indiscretions are wasted on me now. I don’t hear them. I don’t react to them.
We all need to stop this nastiness of trying to put others down because of our own misery and self hate! Weight, looks, colour are not forms of greetings, unless they are beautiful words. If you’re unhappy with yourself don’t lash out at people who are not responsible for your woes. Go fix your small mindedness! Ask for help if possible. It’s against social etiquette to ask people if they have gained weight in full glare of others. Imagine my shock when someone said to a teenager at a show “you’ve obviously been eating too many burgers and fries, u need to eat more veggies! I was happy when the teen retorted “Aunty, mind your F* business”. It entered well well!
So, if you have nothing good to say, pls count up to 10 first. Envy is hazardous to all our health.
