Mercy, Tacha, Mike, Ike, and Seyi are the most searched Big Brother Naija 2019 housemates, Google revealed on Thursday.

Google describes them as the five top trending Big Brother Naija 2019′ Pepper Dem’ housemates since the commencement of the competition on June 30.

Google West Africa Regional Communication and Public Relations Manager, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, who shared the information in a statement on Wednesday, said the report is based on top search performance on Google.

Mr Kola-Ogunlade said while the housemates struggle for the grand prize of N60 million, “fans have been scouring the net to find out more about them”.

He also revealed that Mercy is currently the most-searched contestant on Google.

The 26-year-old video vixen and businesswoman who is based in Lagos loves cooking, swimming, travelling, and dancing.

Google said Mercy’s on-screen relationship with fellow contestant, Ike, as well as her fashion sense and good looks, has kept Big Brother Naija fans wanting more and “searching for her online”.

Following closely is Tasha, who hails from Rivers State.

This 23-year-old social media sensation loves to show herself to the world and the Big Brother Naija stage is the ideal platform.

She has grown her popularity on social media through the show and is the second most-searched Big Brother Naija 2019.

”Her stern character adds to the excitement of the reality show.

Mike Edwards stunned Big Brother Naija 2019: Pepper Dem fans when it was revealed that he was married.

“He is also a CEO and an athlete with a resilient spirit, Founder of the first Black-owned cigar brand in the United Kingdom.

Kola-Ogunlade said Mike has been able to position himself as a guru in the Big Brother Naija house and his accent has made quite an impression on the audience.

Mike is number 3 on the list of most-searched Big Brother Naija 2019: Pepper Dem contestants on Google.

Seyi, popularly referred to as the grandson of Awolowo, has also made his mark in the Big Brother Naija 2019.

From being head-of-house to having a heated argument with Ike at one point, he has a strong personality that has stood out since day one of the show.

The bubbly entrepreneur is also a medical doctor who has stated his commitment to his journey of self-acceptance, his girlfriend and his belief.

The 26-year-old Steve Ikechukwu Onyema, originally from Imo State, is said to be the look-alike of Marvel’s Black Panther actor, Michael B. Jordan.

His relationship with fellow housemate, Mercy, among other activities in the house have made him one of the contestants to watch out for.

He occupies the fifth position on the most searched Big Brother Naija 2019: Pepper Dem housemates list according to Google Search.

News went viral online on Monday that artiste Burna Boy had called it quits with his British rapper girlfriend, Steflon Don.

According to a report by Instablog9ja, Burna Boy was said to have cheated on Stefflon with Gambian actress Princess Shyngle, who he dated in 2018 and allegedly never really left, despite his affair with Stefflon.

There are claims that a video where Burna Boy and his new flame, Shyngle catching fun together in Lagos exist. Also obtained was their recent FaceTime session where they were reminiscing, reports claims.

It also said Stefflon and Burna Boy had deleted some photos of themselves indicating there was trouble in paradise.

However, Stefflon has debunked the rumours via social media indicating that she and Burna Boy are on good terms.

She explained that the viral videos of Burna boy with his ex-girlfriend were old.

Stefflon added that all is fine with her and Burna, hence no break up.

Khafi has won the HOH challenge making her the new Head of House.

This is coming less than 24 hours after her love interest in the house, Gedoni was evicted.

The HOH challenge had the housemates paired into groups of two for the first round.

Khafi who was paired with Cindy beat her to get the dice and was left standing alongside Frodd, Venita, Ike, Seyi, Sir Dee and Omashola.

At the end of the second task which was to solve a puzzle, she emerged the winner.

BBNaija housemate, Khafi is the owner of a brand new car thanks to Innoson Motors.

Earlier in the day, the housemates were tasked to make a presentation on what ‘Being Nigerian’ means to them.

The second task with an Innoson IVN Fox as the star prize, the housemates were told to hold up ballons tied to the car.

Just a few mins into the task, however, Esther advised that the housemates drop their ribbons.

Other housemates also brought up the idea of giving the car to charity especially when Biggie’s pizza gift came into play.

In the process, 12 housemates dropped out leaving Khafi, Jackye, Mercy, and Cindy.

After about two hours and with adjustments to the rules, Jackye was the first to go, followed by Cindy.

Mercy couldn’t take it anymore which left Khafi has the left man standing and winner of the challenge.

Coincidentally, it also happens to be her first car.

The IVM Fox car is reportedly worth about N3.8 million.

D’banj has announced that he is going to be a father again in some months.

Recall that he lost losing his son Daniel Jr. in a sad domestic accident that occurred at his Ikoyi home in June 2018.

The Nigerian superstar singer in an interview with OAP Shopsy of Beat FM London, thanked everyone that supported him throughout the trying time.

He revealed that he only went for therapy once with his wife Didi Lineo, but stopped going after it brought up a lot.

The toddler drowned in a swimming pool at his Ikoyi, Lagos home. D’banj was in the United States for the BET Awards when the sad incident occurred.

Youtube couple, Jaime and Nikki Perkins have officially announced their separation after six years of marriage.

The power couple was known for vlogging everything from their proposal story to pregnancy announcements.

They both posted separate statements on their Instagram stories, along with a text-only video on their shared YouTube channel.

Nikki (who uses the handle @JamieAndNiks) thanked those who had reached out with love and support and confirmed the “painful decision” to split.

The post said: “To everyone who has reached out and expressed love and concern over the past month, we would like to say thank you. Your constant support over the years has meant so much. This has been an extremely difficult time for our family, hence why we have remained silent”.

It continued on to say, “Jamie and I have made the painful decision to separate and would like to thank you in advance for respecting our privacy. We would both like to clarify that the rumours surrounding our separation are false”.

Afropop star, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, has become the first African artiste to hit eight million listeners on Spotify’s monthly streams.

Spotify is an online, music streaming platform that pays royalties based on the number of artistes’ streams as a proportion of total songs streamed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that streaming records revealed Wizkid’s popularity on the platform on Monday.

The previous record was held by Congolese rapper and singer, Maitre Gims. He had seven million monthly listeners.

This win follows Wizkid’s recent collaboration with DJ Spinall and Tiwa Savage on ‘Dis Love’.

The singer also featured on ‘Like,’ a new single by British-Ghanaian rapper and singer, Kojo Funds.

The music star is also the first African artist to walk the runway at a Dolce and Gabbana fashion show while his music `Soco’ played at the background.

Wizkid started recording music at age 11 and managed to release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.

In 2018, he became the first African artiste to sell out Skyway Theatre. The only other artiste who has achieved same feat in Minnesota, is Beyonce .

The ‘Sweet Love’ singer recently made Billboard entry for his collaboration with Beyonce on her ‘Lion King’-inspired album.

BBNaija housemate Enkay has been evicted from the house and it has got people talking.
