Controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze has shared his views about the celebration of Christmas among Christians and he believes it is a celebration for pagans.

Sharing a post on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze wrote that Christmas has nothing to do with Christ and an attempt to make comparison with the two words is like infusing Bible verses into pornographic movies.

He wrote:

Popular philanthropist Williams Uchemba is a scammer, according to an expository post made by a US based activist Edafe Okporo.

Edafe took to his twitter page to share an alleged screenshot of a chat he had with Williams Uchemba where the latter was claiming to be an envoy of the United Nations and seeking $1000 in payment for a certain programme.

According to him, Uchemba’s affiliation with the @FriendshipAmbas is a plot to scam unsuspecting young people who seek to participate at a training that is being organised by the United Nations.

 

He claims to be a @UN youth rep. Because of @FriendshipAmbas pretentious youth assembly deceit to thousand of young people. His name is @williamsuchemba” Edafe tweeted

He wrote further:

This is a cheap scam for so many young Nigerians and youth all around the world. @FriendshipAmbas is collecting money in the name of @UNYouthEnvoy @UNDPINGO He his posing to be an ambassador. Using the reputation of the @UN

Davido disclosed this in an exchange with a follower, who told the singer to come park in his father’s house as his house in Lekki might have no extra space for a new car.

Waje who recounted how she was trolled on social media in 2013 after a bad performance in a new interview, disclosed that she used to seek validation from social media.

Waje who told Dang Network that she is no longer affected by bad performances stated that she once isolated herself and there was nothing anyone did that pleased her.

She said;

“I never used to think that I was good-looking, having a great body or anything like that. I needed validation so when social media came, it was a no-brainer. Great pictures, comments; I felt like I had hit jackpot and then the bubble burst. Then I realised that some people follow you just to point out everything wrong with you. In 2013, I had four nominations at the World Music Awards and I had just released my album, I was on the top of my game.

“I was billed to perform on this faithful day and understanding that I had a great voice, I just wanted an opportunity to showcase my talent with live music and the organisers told me that there was no space for that. I was mad at my management for not sorting that out but we needed the money so I agreed. I got there and there was a band.

“I got depressed, the crowd in their thousands didn’t know that I was not in my element, I had to use a CD to perform and I didn’t like it. There was no heart, no love, just me feeling disappointed that I gave them less than they hungered for. I was trending but I was trending for all the wrong reasons.

“They hated my performance, I was fat-shamed, one person even said that I looked like a DSTV remote control. I cried and felt really bad.

“I isolated myself and there was nothing anyone could do to appease me. The only person that could get through to me was Omawumi and my friend Jennifer.”

Waje who disclosed that it took a fitness coach who helped her work on her body and mind to change her mentality, added;

We didn’t just work out for fitness, we worked on my mind too. Between 2013 and now, people have been asking me what diet I used to lose weight but I know that I haven’t lost much weight but something changed.”

“I allowed social media take a hold of me, I trusted it to give me something it had no ability to offer but I realised that everything I need, I already possess, I just need to channel it in the right direction. Good or bad performance, I don’t let it bother me, it doesn’t fault my confidence.”

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has revealed that featuring in movies alone cannot pay her bills and as an industrious person she is making money from diverse sources.

Apart from appearing in numerous movies and recording good sales in her boutiques, the actress also bought a new house and a Prado jeep in 2018.

Though there have been insinuations that she gets money from politicians, Aigbe insists that she is an industrious person.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said:

“What drives me is the urge to succeed. I always want to be successful with whatever I do. I also have passion for acting and fashion, which are the things I do. People who follow me on social media can attest to the fact that I’m a very trendy person. Apart from acting, I have other streams of income. I am not a lazy person and I believe that I have not even achieved half of my dreams.”

The actress also stated that one of her children is already showing interest in acting. “My son is showing interest in acting and I usually say that whatever my children want to do, I’m going to give them 100 per cent support,” she said.

Speaking on the trend of Yoruba movies making it to the cinemas, Mercy said,

“Yoruba movies going to the cinemas is a welcome development and we are happy about it. Cinema culture is not new in Nigeria; I would rather say it has been revived. I recall that when we were younger, we used to go and watch movies. I am happy that people are embracing cinema culture now because it is another avenue for filmmakers like me to make money from our works.”

However, Aigbe refused to categorically say which fetches her more money between home videos and cinema runs.

“Both home videos and cinemas all bring in money; I wouldn’t say that one has the upper hand. I don’t agree that movies in cinemas have a short lifespan. As long as people demand your film, it will keep showing. DVDs are cheap while cinema tickets are costlier. We can also sell our movies to online TV channels,” she said.

Refusing to disclose the cost of the most expensive item in her wardrobe, the Heaven on my Mind actress said,

“I wouldn’t tell you the price of the most expensive item in my wardrobe before some people think I have so much money and thieves come calling. However, the costliest item in my wardrobe is a Rolex wrist watch.”

Nigerian singer, Mr. 2kay who is the alleged baby father to reality TV star Gifty Powers, has insisted that he will not release proof of DNA of child with Gifty after the actress maintained her stance of the paternity of the child, which is not the singer.

The singer had earlier written on social media “DNA too true to tell a lie, way forward” after Gifty mentioned that he is not the father of the baby.

But surprisingly, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Gifty had said,

“Gifty maintained that 2kay isn’t the father of her child. She said, “Tell him to post the proof (of the DNA test) on his Instagram page. I know what is happening. 2kay just wants a stupid publicity stunt.”

However, Mr 2kay insisted that he wouldn’t release any proof. He said,

“I am not saying anything about this issue again. You can call Gifty and listen to whatever she has to say.” When he was informed that we had spoken with Gifty, he said, “Okay. I’m not discussing anything more about that. I am an adult and nobody can force words out of my mouth.”

To further lay credence to Mr 2kay’s earlier claims to Alisha’s paternity, a source who used to work closely with him stated unequivocally that Mr 2kay was the father of the child.

The source said:

“Gifty is lying; Mr 2kay is the father of her child. The baby was born on December 17, 2017. I recall that we were in Port Harcourt then when she called to inform him that she had been delivered of the baby. Mr 2kay had been responsible for the upkeep of that child and I was even the one that used to deliver items such as baby food, diapers and clothes to her for the baby. On his last trip to the UK, he still bought some things for her”

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo turned a year older yesterday and to celebrate, the actress released some stunning new photos.

She is the youngest of three children and a graduate of Estate Management from Lagos State Polytechnic. She kicked off “Bofeboko,” “Ololufe, Esan” and “Silence.” In 1999 and at the age of 21, Ojo got married to a Lagos-based movie marketer and father of her two kids.

Iyabo starred in her first Yoruba-language movie in 2002 in “Baba Darijinwon.”
