Veteran actress Madam Saje, also known as Fausat Balogun who recently celebrated 40 years on stage has revealed why many marriaged in Nollywood dont last.
The veteran actress made this revelation in an interview with City People last week. Fausat Balogun can be regarded as the most featured Yoruba actress who joined acting at the age of 10 under the tutelage of her boss Rafiu Balogun whom she later married at the age of 18; and their union is blessed with wonderful children.
When she was asked why many Nollywood marriages crash; in her words: ” It is a bad thing to follow another persons step to define your life, many of these actress want to belong they want to wear what their colleagues are wearing, and that is what makes them to do things that may be harmful to their marital union”.
In summary, Madam Saje said that her advice to nollywood actresses is that they should try to be contended with what they have and try to make their marriage work. She also added that her husband married two wives and she was able to raise her children in peace along with her co-wife.
