It has been confirmed that late 57-year-old American pop icon, Prince died of a drug overdose. A law-enforcement official told the Associated Press that he died of an opioid overdose.
Investigators had been reviewing whether Prince died of an overdose and have been questioning a doctor who was prescribing him drugs in the weeks before his death.
Prince was allegedly suffering from an addiction to pain killers and had representatives reach out to Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a national authority on opioid addiction treatment, because Prince was “dealing with a grave medical emergency,” said William Mauzy, an attorney working with the Kornfeld family.
