Dr Sid is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and dentist who is currently signed to Mavins Records owned by famous Nigerian record producer, Don Jazzy.

The Surulere singer revealed that Iyanya Mbuk, who recently joined Mavins Records makes other artistes seem lazy ever since he made the switch from Made Men Music Group (MMMG).

Dr Sid disclosed this on Wednesday at the EP unveiling concert of Iyanya which took place at Hard Rock Café, Oniru, Lagos.

Dr Sid said that Iyanya has been a very positive influence on other members of the Mavin Records has he already recorded over 50 songs.

He said:

“Iyanya is the best thing to happen to Mavin Records,”

“He has made the rest of us look lazy with his work rate and I am not saying this because he is here. Iyanya has recorded over 50 songs in less than three months.”

Iyanya’s new EP, ‘Signature’, which is made up of seven songs and a bonus track was produced by Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, as well as two other producers on the label’s roster, Altims and Baby Fresh.

Iyanya joined Mavin Records in October 2016 after severing business ties with former manager and partner, Ubi Franklin.

Besides Iyanya and Dr Sid, Mavin Records is home to Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, DNA Twins, Johnny Drille, D’Prince.
