1 Harrysong was born on March 30, 1981 as the only child to Ijaw parents in Warri, Delta State.
2 At age eleven, Harrysong’s music career started as a congarist in the church his mother served as the music director before he went on to learn contemporary gospel music.
3 After the death of his mother, a strained relationship between him and his step-mother led to his drop-out from school.
4 Harrysong started doing music in 2007 when he just came to Lagos by going to studios to record and clubs to play for people before he met Kcee, his friend and former label boss at O’jez Club.
5 His rise to fame came when he released the single “I’m In Love” and “Taiye & Kehinde” with the music video of the former, topping music video charts including Trace TV.
6 In 2013, Harrysong, who did a song to honour Nelson Mandela after his death reportedly made up to N50 million on the song via MTN caller tunes.
7 The talented artiste won The Headies 2013 Most Downloaded Callertune and 2014 NMVA for ‘Best Pop Extra’ and ‘Best Contemporary Afro’ category.
8 Harrysong signed a multimillion naira endorsement deal with MTN in 2014 which was also renewed in 2015.
9 The award winning artiste was arrested on January 27, 2017 by his former record label, Five Star Music over breach of contract.
10 Harrysong is currently single.
