Christy Uduak Essien-Igbokwe who died on the 30th of June 2011 was a Nigerian musician and actress, well known for her song “Seun Rere”.
This month marks 6 years we lost the legendary Christy Essien Igbokwe, her grand child Christiana Chizaramekpeleamaka Igbokwe aka Zamzam delivers a cover of the evergreen number “Seun Rere” in her own special way.
Essien-Igbokwe sang her songs in Igbo, Ibibio, Efik, Hausa and Yoruba, and as well as in English. Essien’s fluency in Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, English and her native Ibibio earned her an appeal which cut across tribal lines
