11-Year-Old Boy Rapes 7-Year-Old Friend’s Sister

A schoolboy can may become Great Britain’s youngest rapist after he sexually abused a seven-year-old girl in Tameside, Manchester, England.

A boy, who name kept secret, appeared in court today accompanied by his father to face charges of raping a child. The boy himself was at primary school, when he reportedly raped his friend’s younger sister at their family house and later bragged about it to his friends.

The alleged attack occured during the Christmas holidays last year — three days after the rapist’s 11th birthday. His victim was just 7 years old at the moment of the assault.

The child, who is now 12, pleaded not guilty and the court hearing has been adjourned until March next year. If convicted, he will become the youngest rapist in Britain.

According to 2014 data from United Nation, 1 in 10 girls had experienced sexual violence at early stage of their lifetime. Child sexual abuse is one of the health and human right challenge in Nigeria. The offenders or abusers are usually someone well-known to the family of the child and someone the child trust.

It would be recalled that the punishment for child sexual abuse in Nigeria is life imprisonment according to the criminal code act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under section 218.
